Another 2012 resolution. I have a despicable and painful habit of biting my nails, this picture is actually pretty accurate in how my left hand looks - yes, I was lazy and simply outlined my hand =D
I’m going to go out on a limb and say I’m going to draw something, anything, every day of 2012.
Artsy followers, prepare to be disappointed.
Happy 2012 :)
I’m well chuffed, guys, honestly. Mega thanks to everyone who sent a lil love this way: old followers, new followers, stalkers, bored tumbloids.
Seems like I haven’t lost the magic touch completely =’]
Work in progress.
Zooey Deschanel is bloody gorgeous. I’m sick of having so many ideas and never acting on them, so I went back to basics and attempted a ‘simple’ pencil drawing.
… It wasn’t simple -_-“
A (very old) drawing I will, in all likelihood, never finish colouring…
"The most beautiful discovery true friends make is that they can grow separately without growing apart."
One of my most precious besties came back on Sunday night, after spending 7 communication-less weeks in Nepal. It’s odd: friendship is one of those things you take for granted and never really think about until it’s (even briefly) not there any more.
Being a cynic, I’m not good with dishing out mushy sentiments or messages. It deeply embarrasses me to admit that… I have really missed her. This is a very simple card, but I hope it iterated what my lips weren’t able to say.
Today I went to my very first career conference ever - the Brighton Digital Marketing Festival. It was… fantastic! Informative and entertaining, talks from really inspirational people, and a great insight into the industry I’m dipping my eager toes into. Oh yes, I am definitely heading down the right career path =]
My colleague and I took a short walk along the seaside after the conference. I miss the seaside…
This blog should be filled with pictures, but it’s not.
i’m so full…
My trademark dish (and the only one I can cook well) is a very very simple noodle soup - I call it the Joodle, Julie’s Noodle. It has evolved hugely over the last five years, and has claimed many happy and grumpy customers in its time. One of my best friends tried to imitate the same recipe at home (and ended up burning her pan) - you know what people say: imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
